RadDatePicker provides all the functionality of the date picker control found in the Windows Phone 7 OS. In addition to the standard control, you get runtime validation out of the box, smoother flick-based animations and better performance on initial start-up.

Animation

RadAnimation is an animation framework built to work with the Windows Phone 7 Metro design guidelines. The predefined animations are optimized for fast performance and low power consumption. The built-in animations match the animations that are found on Windows Phone 7 OS – Fade, Slide, Scale, Perspective, Move, Resize, as well as some group animations with predefined values. You have full control over the execution of the animation - the rich API allows you to start or stop the animation at any time. You can also easily create custom animations based on the pre-defined ones or from scratch.
